Chick Peas Curry


  1. Chick Peas - 2 cans 
  2. Turmeric - 1 tsp
  3. Red Chili Powder - 1 tsp
  4. Lemon Juice - 1/2 cup
  5. Tomatoes - 4-5 medium (diced)
  6. Mango Powder - 1 tbsp
  7. Garam Masla - 1 tsp (optional)
  8. Oil - 2-3 tbsp
  9. Ginger-garlic Paste - 2 tbsp
  10. Cumin Seeds - 1 tsp
  11. Onions - 2 medium julienne
  12. Salt - To taste

Heat oil in a non-stick pan
Fry the cumin seeds
When the cumin seeds start to crackle, add onions and fry until they turn golden brown
Now add the g-g paste and fry well
Now add tomatoes and cook them well until they break down
Now add the chick peas and cook well
After 5-7 mins of cooking, add the spices, mango powder and salt
Cook the chick peas well in the added spices
After 5-6 mins, add lemon juice
Mix well, lower the heat, cover the pan and let it cook on steam/pressure for another 5-6 mins...
Garnish with freshly chopped coriander and finely chopped onions.
